Local celebrity judges as well as fashion experts evaluate the dress designs. Local design students from Brenau University, Georgia Southern University, and Savannah College of Art and Design create one-of-a-kind dresses made from recycled eyewear and lenses. The Night of Spectacles is a unique event that features a fashion show and competition. They provide full eye exams, eyeglasses, eye surgeries, digital hearing aids, and vision and hearing screenings to over 7,500 uninsured and low-income Georgians every year through free clinics, as well as a van-based mobile clinic, throughout the state.
